Privacy policy

This privacy policy explains how Skilloop (“we”, “us”, or “our”) collects, uses, and shares information when you use our website, applications, and services (collectively, the “Service”).

We collect the minimum information needed to operate Skilloop, we do not sell your data, and we use a tightly scoped set of third-party processors to deliver the product.

What we collect

Account information

Email address, display name, and (optionally) a profile photo. Provided by you when signing in, stored in our authentication provider (Clerk).

Profile information

For experts: headline, bio, years of experience, skill list, and the listings you publish. For learners: only what you choose to share in session notes.

Booking and session data

Booking requests, accept/decline decisions, completion status, and the review you leave after a session. We never record session audio or video.

Payment information

Billed through Stripe. Skilloop never sees your card number — Stripe holds all payment credentials and Skilloop receives only the last four digits, brand, and expiry month/year.

Usage telemetry

Aggregated, non-identifying counters (page loads, signup funnel steps, error counts) to help us understand which features are working. No third-party tracking pixels and no advertising IDs.

Third-party services

Skilloop relies on a small set of carefully selected processors to deliver the Service. Each one is bound by its own privacy and security commitments.

Your rights

Access —request a copy of the personal data we hold about you at any time.
Correct —update your profile, headline, bio, and listings directly from your dashboard.
Delete —request account deletion by emailing skilloop96@gmail.com — we will permanently remove your data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law (for example, completed-payment records).
Export —export the data we hold about you in a portable JSON format.

Cookies

Skilloop uses a minimal set of cookies required to sign you in (Clerk session cookie) and keep the application functional. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. You can clear cookies in your browser at any time; signing in again will create a new session.
